What lifts you? What brings you joy? What helps you get up in the morning? What makes you, you? All these little questions are beautifully expressed in Kelsey Montague’s famous artwork series #WhatLiftsYou. The wings are meant to describe Nashville’s inner wings which is evident in the guitars, music notes, and southern influence in the design of the wings. In Taylor Swift’s promotion of her ME! Album, Kelsey Montague painted a bright and colorful pair of wings at this location, but they were taken down a couple weeks later. Either way, the classic black and white wings have brought lots of people to the Gulch and there’s even a smaller set of wings for your furry friends!
