Natchez Trace Bridge

The beautiful arching bridge across State Highway 96 stands 145 feet in the air. The Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge is the first segmentally constructed concrete arch bridge in the nation and stretches 1,572 feet. This feat of human engineering displays the beauty of the surrounding valley and naturally flows with the distant hills. Natchez Trace Parkway spans 444 miles, starting in Natchez, Mississippi and ends in Nashville, Tennessee. The bridge was opened in 1994 and received the Presidential Award for Design Excellence in 1995.

Visitors can either walk across the bridge for fantastic views of the Nashville landscape or visit Birdsong Hollow at milepost 438 on Highway 96 to look up at the arches from below.
